--On a cool, New-Leaf morning, the sun shone down shining and warming, and the wind, crisp and clear, would whisk the excess heat away, making the perfect light and temperature. The buds were beginning to spring into pretty flowers, and the birds would chirp and sing lovely melodies. It was beautiful, so peaceful.
--Silverstar slipped carefully and quietly out of camp, checking behind her should to make sure that no cat was following her, especially an apprentice, those little trouble-maker balls of fluff. She slid out, her belly pressed to the sand bottom. She waded through the water, it was refreshing on her paws, and cooling when she drank some. Silversdtar reflected that the clans were prospering well, no arguments or fights, and there was plenty of prey for each clan.
--In the distance, Silverstar recognized her meeting spot, Fourtrees. The trees looked healthy and swayed in the wind. Now in sight of her meeting place, she began to jog, looking eagerly to meeting with a friend. She lept onto the Highrock with a kind of measured ease, her paws took over for her in a territory she knew so well, she mind could focus on other things. It gave her such a feeling over power when her pads felt the rough, grainy stone once a moon.
--Silverstar looked out into the distance. Tinystar must be arrving soon, it was her idea to meet for a friendly chat. She didn't like it that some cats were predejuced against cats from another clan, they must get along in order to survive. Besides, this meeting could also be a business gathering, to talk about borders and prey and such, so no cat could claim she was doing wrong. All the same, she felt a bit nervous. Silverstar looked into the horizon, as if searching.

The small, lithe shape of Tinystar slipped through the darkness of her territory, her paws light on the marshy floor. Her light green gaze ran back and forth across the towering pine trees and the swamps. It was a beautiful morning; Tinystar could glimpse some of the fresh blue sky from cracks in between the pine trees. The she-cat's light walk transformed into a trot; she was running a bit late and tardiness from her was unacceptable. Ribbit Ribbit. The leader froze, her eyes searching the grounds stealthily. She immediately sank into a hunting crouch, moving slowly towards the noise. The frog was ribbiting away as it sat on the bank of a pond, rather oblivious to the she-cat behind him. Once close enough to feel the nervous waves bouncing off the prey, Tinystar pounced.
"Now, I'm really late." She muttered darkly, blaming her abstence from Fourtrees on the frog. She couldn't resist, and it would make a great lunch for a queen or elder. Her dark furred paws quickly dug a small hole, burying the frog deep inside as to retrieve later. Tinystar bounded through the forest, taking to the shadows where she was comfortable, and carefully weaved through the pine trees, jumping over small ponds and puddles. She skidded to a halt outside Fourtrees and sighed in relief; she wasn't that late, was she? Tinystar emerged from the shadows, feeling quite odd in the sunlight, and trotted to the base of the Highrock. "Hello Silverstar." She greeted with a small smile, leaping onto the Highrock beside the RiverClan leader.

--Silverstar sat, waiting patiently, on the Highrock. The bright sunlight warmed her pelt, and she found her purring. "What a beautiful day it is," she murmured to herself. A bird chirped, but it was far away, and Silverstar's predator instincts did not kick in, alas way she was still sitting on the rock, enjoying the glare of the sun.
--Silverstar saw her before she smelt or heard her. She was just a bundle of shadows, flirting in and out of the trees at a running pace. Next, she smelt her. The wind shifted and Silverstar breathed in the scent of Shadowclan. She still was not used to the unnatural small of musk and shade, cringing a bit at it. Finally, she heard it. The sounds of crackling and breaking twigs and leaves, as if the thing was taking no caution to be quiet.
--It was her friend, Tinystar, the leader if Shadowclan, the one that she had arranged to meet here. Tinystar leaped onto the Highrock, smiling at her. "Hello Silverstar," she said when she was in hearing distance. Silverstar returned the grin. "Hello to you, too, Tinystar," she said casually.
--"How are you today?" Silverstar questioned. "I hope the prey runs plentiful and your warriors swift." She turned to look at Tinystar to see if her expression gave anything away, but it was carefully masked. Instead, she just waited for an answer from her.

♥ Tinystar breathed in the various scent of Fourtrees, feeling suddenly relaxed. She didn't answer Silverstar right away, but instead swept her gaze across the clearing below. She imagined warriors and apprentices and cats of all Clans gathering here, looking up to the leaders for announcements. The small she-cat's gaze flickered back to Silverstar. "ShadowClan is doing well." She replied, her face as blank as a stone. She was careful what she told the other leaders about her Clan, even if they were friends such as Silverstar. A soft breeze slowly moved past them, ruffling Tinystar's fur. She scoffed in irritation, and craned her small neck to smooth down her fur with a couple licks of soft pink tongue. "I trust all is well in RiverClan?" She asked, to be polite, thought she was awfully curious. She knew leaders usually never shared deep secrets about their Clans to other Clans, but a cat can only wonder what happened outside their own territory. Silverstar's scent wafted into her nostrils; the scent of RiverClan. Water and fronds, something Tinystar was not used to. The she-cat fixed her gaze back on the clearing below her as she waited for the other leader's response. ♥

--At Tinystar's pause, Silverstar took her chance to look around. She gazed down from the Highrock, imagining hundreds or pairs of cat's eyes, blinding her. She couldn't wait to her first real gathering as a leader.
--Returning her gaze back to Tinystar, she searched her friend's face as she replied, "ShadowClan is doing well." But her face was blank, not wanting to give anything away to another clan, even a friend.
--"I trust all is well in RiverClan?" Silverstar did the same as Tinystar before her. "Everything is doing wonderful, out warriors our growing fat from all the surplus of prey," she joked.
--The scent of Shadowclan was still thick in her nostrils, though now she was used to it, but certainly not enjoying, she didn't want to be rude to her friend. There was silence for a while, Silverstar glanced at the ruffling trees, the moment was so perfect.
--Silverstar cleared her throat. "Excited for the next gathering, I assume?" she asked. "Have any kits that became apprentices or apprentices that became warriors?" Silverstar knew she hadn't, but it was poliet conversation, maybe Tinystar didn't want Silverstar to know till the next gathering.
--She waited in silence for a reply from Tinystar. She sat, licking her fur to fill the time.

♥ Our warriors are growing fat from all the surplus of prey. Tinystar chuckled softly at her friend's joke, nodding as she spoke. The she-cat looked up as Silverstar clear her throat and began talking again. "Hmm, Gorsepaw's training is going well thought he's not really a new apprentice." She paused to look again at the trees surrounding them. "Fernwhisker, our medicine cat, is coping well as the only medicine cat." She finished, her gaze softening as she spoke of her Clanmates. She was, in fact, a bit nervous for the upcoming Gathering. It hasn't been long since she was announced leader of ShadowClan, and the thought of her first Gathering not as a deputy send an odd chill crawling down her spine. A bird rustled in the branch of a nearby tree, snapping Tinystar out of her rambled thoughts. She watched the creature silently as it hopped around on the branch, singing it's melodic song. Though, a bird can only entertain you for so long and soon Tinystar had lost what little interest she had in the animal. "And what about RiverClan? Any new apprentices, warriors?" She mewed, turning back to Silverstar. ♥

--The sun'a rays beat down hard, now the heat was a bit more than Silverstar got bear. She shook her coat lightly, got up and went to sit in the shady part of the rock, but she was still facing Tinystar.
--Tinystar chuckled softly at Silverstar's joke and them cleared her throat and spoke seriously. "Hmm, Gorsepaw's training is going well thought he's not really a new apprentice." Silverstar nodded, she knew Gorsepaw a bit, having seen him once or twice, he was a stubborn creature. "Fernwhisker, our medicine cat, is coping well as the only medicine cat." Tinystar continued.
--Tinystar was silent for a while, as if thinking and then meowed, "And what about RiverClan? Any new apprentices, warriors?" Silverstar thought back to her clan by the river. "Sorrelpaw just became an apprentice today" she replied back. "She has yet to be given a mentor, though it will pobably be Frozenstream or Cherryleaf. Nothing much besides that."
--Silverstar wished that she could talk about medicine cats, too. She though sadly to her camp without a medicine cat, and wondered how they could ever get the information if they got a new medicine cat, for the old one had died. Probably from the other medicine cats, but she wished that she didn't have to reply on others for help.
--"I am glad that all is well with your clan," Silverstar meowed.

♥ The sun was starting to get to her too. Her fur, being various shades of dark, absorbed the sunlight easily. The ShadowClan leader shifted uncomfortably and quickly joined Silverstar in the peaceful shade of the trees. She watched the bright green leaves of the trees sway back and forth as a small breeze passed by, thought not enough to cool any cat down from this heat. Her light emerald eyes slid to her friend as she spoke of her Clan. Tinystar nodded intently, but she could tell her friend was holding something back. She didn't ask what, besides it wasn't any of her business. I am glad all is well in your Clan. Tinystar smiled softly. "Well thank you. The Clans have been quite peaceful lately, don't you think?" She mused out loud. There weren't any trespassers, border skirmishes, or any rouge/Twoleg problems recently within the Clans. She suddenly thought about what the other leaders thought of ShadowClan; dark and mysterious. She wanted to defend her Clan and her Clanmates of these mostly false accusations, but it wouldn't do any good. Maybe she'd mention it at the next Gathering, but probably not. Tinystar blinked, realizing she had been daydreaming and looked to her friend for her reply. ♥

--Tinystar got up and went to join Silverstar in the confort of the shade. The breeze blew by, but Silverstar still felt slightly warm. She shook her self out of her daze. "What are you, spoiled because of the weather?" she told herself. It could get a lot hotter in Green-Leaf and she would just have to get used to that.
--Silverstar was broke from her daze when Tinystar spoke again. "Well thank you. The Clans have been quite peaceful lately, don't you think?" When Silverstar thought about it, it was true. There was no trouble between clans, at least not yet, and and no two-legs or rogues had been causeing trouble. But Silverstar swallowed at the thought of what she hadn't told her friend, that maybe things wouldn't be so peaceful for long. And it would be because of her and her expanding clan. Silverstar sighed, shaking herself to get rid of the bad thoughts.
--Silverstar looked to her friend, realizing that she was awaiting an answer. "They have been" she said in a deep tone. "And the prey has been feeding our clans well." Looking at the Shadowclan leader, she thought of the sterotypes against them. They had been thought of a nasty clan tht lurked in mud. But Tinystar was nice, and now with what her clan was doing, she wans't sure those were right anymore. Was she really the bad one now?

♥ Tinystar lifted her dark furred head to enjoy the breeze that billowed through her fur. She lay her head on her paws peacefully, gazing at the forest in front of her. The trees seemed to go on forever, the unseen birds singing their melodic song in the high branches. She glanced to Silverstar; the other leader was taking longer than usual to answer. Her thoughts suddenly wondered if something was wrong with RiverClan, if maybe there was a problem with their territory or the surrounding Clans. She wondered about that, but there couldn't be something wrong between the two Clans, or Silverstar wouldn't have come to meet her today. Or would she? The ShadowClan leader shook her head slightly, riding her mind of the irritating thoughts. Silverstar and her were friends; if there was something wrong between their Clans, they would have spoken of it by now. Tinystar blinked, glad she had convinced herself for the better. It has been. And the prey has been feeding our Clans well. The small she-cat nodded in agreement, the prey had been plentiful towards the Clans. "I agree. Actually, prey was the reason I was late today." She purred, thinking about the frog she had caught earlier. ♥

--Silverstar watched Tinystar lazily as she meowed, "I agree. Actually, prey was the reason I was late today." Silverstar nodded thoughtfully, Tinystar hadn't been that late, and Silverstar hadn't minded waiting. "Of course, our own clans do come first."
--Silverstar nodded happily to nothing in particular, but she realized the absurdedy of the moment. She was sitting next to the leader of Shadowclan, a rival clan mate, on a rock in the bright sunlight discussing prey. She started purring very loudly, an amused expression on her maw.
--There was silence for many more minutes, where you could hear the wind in a far of distance and the prey scurry in the forest before Silverstar spoke up. "So, are you looking forward to the meeting? A bit scared maybe?" She was asking honest questions, it would be both Silverstar and Tinystar's first time ever going to a gathering as leaders. "Have what you are going to say all planned out, I know I have," she commented.
--She looked at her friend, wondering if the feeling inside her were squirming to get out, feeling like a newborn kit, as they were inside of Silverstar.

♥ Of course, our own Clans do come first. Tinystar nodded in agreement, setting her small head back on her dark furred paws. She listened to her friend purr loudly, suddenly wondering what she was thinking about. Her thoughts drifted to her Clan, as she also wondered what they were doing now. Tinystar had left the deputy in charge, claiming she was going out for a solo hunt. The she-cat feared if her Clanmates knew she was going to meet with Silverstar, a leader of a rival Clan, they would not approve. Tinystar let out a soft, somewhat irritated sigh at that thought. So are you looking forward to the meeting? The ShadowClan leader turned her head slightly so she could look at Silverstar. Frankly, she was a bit scared. Standing in front of all those cats, who were probably watching your every move to judge. Her fur prickled nervously at the thought. Have what you are going to say planned out, I know I have. Tinystar blinked, the idea sinking in. "That's a good idea Silverstar. I planned on winging it." She shrugged, an amused smile on her face. ♥

[blockqute] --As Tinystar screwed up her face in thought to reply, Silverstar's own thoughts drifted off somewhere else. She has come here, her clan not knowing what she was doing, she had snuck away with no one noticing. They would probably be wondering where she was. Silverstar sighed. If her clan knew she was meeting a rival, they would be angry at their leader, but it wasn't fair. Her clan would like Tinystar if they she was a Riverclan cat.
--Tinystar spoke, and Silverstar turned to face her. "That's a good idea Silverstar. I planned on winging it." Tinystar smiled a bit, and Silverstar did too. "Well, I was going to annouce our new apprentice, Sorrelpaw, and her mentor is Frozenstream. We also have a new medicine cat, Sparkpool," Silverstar said, hoping not to spoil the surprise and that Tinystar would not tell the rest of her clan what Silverstar had just revealed. But she trusted Tinystar.
--"That would pretty much be it, except that our prey is high," Silverstar added. "Don't you think that it is sad that Bonestar died, and the deputy is now leader, Blizzardstar and he is blind. Their new deputy is Rainpatch." Silverstar knew all of this because of Sparkpool, who had gone to the Highrocks for a visit with Starclan, and had passed by the Windclan border. [/blockquote]

♥ Tinystar nodded as her friend spoke of her Clan, revealing what she would say at the Gathering. The small she-cat wouldn't tell her Clan this news. It wasn't any of their business what went on in RiverClan, and they could hear about it soon enough at the Gathering. Plus, Tinystar was very loyal to her friends, especially Silverstar. She admired the RiverClan leader for coming, when she could be doing things for her Clan. Don't you think that it is sad that Bonestar died, and the deputy is now leader, Blizzardstar and he is blind. Tinystar blinked her light green eyes in surprise as Silverstar finished, suddenly wondering how her friend knew all this information. Maybe one of her warriors or Sparkpool told her. "Yes, Bonestar will be missed." She mused, thinking of the deceased WindClan leader. She only faintly remembered him, from her days as an apprentice and warrior. Tinystar barely spoke to him, except for a couple of greetings and casual talk, but always thought he was a good leader to WindClan. "That makes this Gathering Blizzardstar's first too. I'm sure he'll be a nice leader." She finished.
