The night sky was a clear, blue-black color with little to no clouds. The stars were shining brighter than they ever had before, and the full moon hung ominously right at the heart of them. There was but a simple breeze lurking about Fourtrees on this night.
The night of the gathering.

--Silverstar slipped out of camp, her warriors and one apprentice following behind her. She padded around and down a slightly worn path, the way to the gathering. In the air, the stars twinkled and shone brightly against the dark blue and black sky. The wind was mostly still, but one breeze tugged across her pelt, making her shiver.
--The group with Silverstar in the lead made their way down to the Fourtrees entrance. She signaled with her tail for her warriors to stop, right in behind the bushes and brambled. "Even Sorrelpaw is managing to stay quiet and still," she thought, amused.
--Then, silently, the group decesnded into the Fourtrees clearing. She looked around and sniffed the air, there were some other older scents, but Riverclan was definetly the first clan there. She leaped over to the rock and her warriors stayed below. Then she sat down and waited. "Good," she thought. "We will show the other clans that we know about punctuality, it is good to be on time."
--Silverstar looked up at the moon, a glistening orb against the darkness, no clouds were covering it. It was right above them. "I hope that this is a good sign."

It was that type of night again; the night of the gathering. And as Frostedstar led his warriors (and one apprentice) out of the ThunderClan camp, he noticed how clear the sky was, and it only made him confident that this gathering would be a peaceful one. The large, white tom prayed to StarClan that no cat would bring up something that would cause a riot, such as their need for more territory or prey. It wasn't unusual, but every clan needed it, including his own. As he came closer to Fourtrees, he instantly recognized the strong scent of RiverClan. "It looks like they're the first ones there," he narrated in his mind.
Frostedstar signaled with his tail for his cats to stop, and he quietly observed Fourtrees from a distance. RiverClan was indeed the first ones there, and it didn't look like the other clans were there yet. He launched himself down into Fourtrees with great power, signaling for his warriors to do the same. "Good evening, Silverstar," he greeted as he slowly came to a stop beneath the great rock. "How are you this fine night?" he purred. The night was certainly a glorious one, that was for sure.

The feeling of the cool moonlight on Blizzardstar's fur gave him hope this night. His warriors were quietly chattering about how bright and clear the sky was this night. He purred quietly to himself, sensing an heir of excitement among his warriors (and one apprentice). Blizzardstar carefully navigated the grassy moors, leading his warriors confidently. Any cat who didn't know the WindClan leader might never even know that he was blind. He was so confident in his movements, and his sense of direction.
The tall grass brushed his white fur as he came to the ridge of Fourtrees. He stood tall for a moment, lifting his head up to the moon, before flicking his tail for his clanmates to go and mingle with the other two Clans there, RiverClan and ThunderClan. Blizzardstar sniffed slowly, the tang of ShadowClan wasn't on the air yet, so they must be running a little bit late. Blizzardstar launched himself down toward the trees, and directly toward the other two leaders. He could taste their scents on his tongue.
The large tom came to a halt in front of the other two leaders. He sat in front of them, and turned to lick a blade of grass from his white pelt. "Greetings. It's a clear night." Blizzardstar noted, a smile in his voice. He could smell the sweet night air, and there were no clouds in the sky. A soft breeze tugged at his pelt, and he shook it from his fur. His blind blue eyes gazed toward the two other leaders.

A black and white tom cat obediently followed his leader, but there was a sparkle of harmful pride in his eye. He looked at the other cats gathered beneath the trees with disdain - what a shame it must be to not be one of WindClan! The fastest and swiftest clan of them all, so strong that they lived under no shelter and so mighty that they could chase rabbits and kill them for food. The skinny cat strutted into the clearing with the rest of his clanmates, his chest puffed out with pride and his fur fluffed up as to make him look larger and more muscular - no doubt he felt as if he were the leader of the group.
-----
"Do you think that there will be any trouble tonight?" a ginger tom inquired as he walked with a white tom. "Nothing's been happening on the borders recently, I doubt it. Tonight will probably just consist of announcing new apprentices and kits, if any have been born." the white cat shrugged off the ginger tom's question as they walked together. They walked silently together as they sat down below their leader and shifted around so that they would be comfortable. "Hey, look." Firestorm whispered into his friend's ear with a snort of amusement, "I think that one is the real leader of WindClan?" he pointed at Blacktail with his tail.
Frozenstream looked at his friend with questioning in his eyes. "Really?" he asked in a serious manner as he stared at the WindClan warrior. Firestorm sighed, he had forgotten that Frozenstream wasn't one to understand humor. "No, I mean, you really think he is the leader of WindClan? Blizzardstar is and he already has a deputy! And he's still alive!" the white tom cat protested as his friend gently cuffed him over the ears. "I was joking, silly!" he meowed with amusement. "Oh." Frozenstream replied plainly as he looked up at the leaders.
"ShadowClan is late." he commented, looking over at Firestorm. "Yes, they are. You wouldn't reckon that they're plotting to ambush us at a gathering like those nursery tales suggest they do?" the ginger tom cat questioned. "No, Tinystar would never do that. Have you seen her? She doesn't seem the kind of cat who would purposely aggravate battles." Firestorm shrugged, maybe his friend was right. But that didn't matter - he was going to keep a lookout anyways, just in case the delay was a result of mischief.

♥ The small, dark furred she-cat stood impatiently at the entrance to the ShadowClan camp. The Gathering was tonight, and of course her Clan was probably the last to arrive. She let out an irritated sigh and, once the last of her chosen cats had assembled, bounded out of camp with a fierce pace. The wind billowed through the leader's fur as she led her Clan into Fourtrees with pride. "Alright, go and mingle. Just don't get into trouble." She murmured to her Clanmates, and picked her way through the crowd of cats.
Yes, She thought with regret. We are the last Clan to arrive. Tinystar lifted her head, and gazed at the other Clans challengingly, provoking them to question ShadowClan's motives about their tardiness. The she-cat turned her attention to the tree overlooking all that gathered here tonight. Her light green gaze drifted to the dark sky; peaceful and calm. Maybe it was a sign. "Evening." Tinystar mewed abruptly to the other leaders, taking a seat beside Silverstar. She leaned down to quickly groom her sleek fur until it faintly glimmered in the moonlight. ♥

A dark she-cat paced shortly behind her leader, followed by a fluffy brown tabby tom, by the looks of him an apprentice. The little tom looked around at the other clans with disdain, and had a cheeky grin on his face. 'Hah... look at all of them. Stupid cowards, kittypets, and fish-faces! None of them are as mighty as ShadowClan... or me, for that matter.' Closing his mouth and putting a blank expression on his face, Flightpaw made sure to stick close to his clanmates. He didn't want to go anywhere near the stinky RiverClan cats who smelled like fish, or WindClan who smelled like mud and dirt, or ThunderClan who smelled like... disgusting forest and kittypet. Looking around, he grinned wickedly at his little runt of a brother, Gorsepaw, sticking out his tongue in a taunting manner. 'I'm better than him!' Striding into the clearing, Gorsepaw sat down in the ShadowClan area of four-trees. He wasn't going to go anywhere near the other cats.
---
Hollyfern, on the other hand, calmly observed the cats in the clearing. Looking up at the leaders, she recognized the figures of Frostedstar, Blizzardstar, and Silverstar. 'We're the last ones...' she sighed. There wouldn't be time to meet cats from other clans tonight. But maybe it was for the better - she couldn't have any cat trying to rat her out because they suspected her of treason. Shaking her head, she once again examined the cats gathered beneath the full moon - she recognized a few cats. Rainpatch and Wolfcry were there, both deputies. She could barely recall the time she had overheard a conversation with the WindClan cat known as Blacktail, but she did remember his name and that he had been an arrogant piece of foxdung.
Sitting down, she watched the other clans with narrow, slitted eyes. 'I just have to act unfriendly.' she thought, 'Then no cat will think me unloyal.' Looking over at Flightpaw, she recognized his evil 'you're such a weakling' glare. Shrugging it off, she looked up at the full moon. 'There's a truce tonight. And... well, I can't change every cat's opinion.' Fluffing up her fur, Hollyfern attempted to look like an intimidating ShadowClan cat - she didn't want to look like the weakling in the group.
The stared up at the leaders and waited for the announcements to be made. 'I wonder if there are any new warriors, kits, or apprentices?' she wondered as she fixated her gaze upon the leaders.
