caring && compassionate && peaceful
Blizzardstar has both of these traits set deep into his mentality. He cares for every cat in his Clan, and takes care that they are all well fed before he is. He helps care for the kits when needed, and always makes sure the Elder's are comfortable. He is always encouraging the apprentices to do their best, and sometimes brings them back little treats from his hunts. He has deep connections with many of his clanmates, and tries to keep every single cat in his Clan close to him. He cares very deeply for all of his friends, and will fight tooth and nail for every one of them. Never will he let any of them feel left out of anything, and always encourages kindness and respect to every cat.
Peaceful in nature, Blizzardstar likes to avoid fights and battles if he can. He keeps his mouth shut at gatherings about sensitive topics, even if other Clans see it fit to discuss them. He may put in a few opinions, but never much of anything to make any Clan angry enough to start a battle. If the threat of a battle does occur during a gathering, whether it be directed toward his Clan, or another Clan, Blizzardstar will try to find the most peaceful solution to the problem, without a blood having to be shed.
fierce && brave
Even though he is blind, he never shows any sort of fear. He keeps a level head, and always heads into problems nose first, even if it gets him into major trouble. He isn't afraid of much, other than his Clanmates dying, or getting sick. He also fears that at some point, he may do a terrible job protecting his Clanmates, and then they will all turn on him. He does not let this bother how he runs his Clan, and never expresses these fears to anyone, even his mate.
He is a fierce fighter, and always puts up a major fight to protect every cat that he cares about. He'll even try to protect cats from other Clans if he sees that it's needed. He never likes to see any cat get hurt, but will gladly hurt them if they hurt any other feline in any Clan.
loyal && protective
Blizzardstar is a very loyal cat. To StarClan, to his Clan, and to the very letter of the Warrior code. Though it would pain him to do so, if any cat breaths the warrior code, he would punish them as he saw fit, to make sure that justice was done for StarClan. He does not go back on his promises, and he does not tell other cats secrets. If they wish for him to know something, never will he tell any other cat, unless it is something that may have dire consequences.
He is very protective, as stated before. He'll protect any cat who is in danger, if it means saving the life of another cat. He's very protective of his mate, and tends to hover sometimes when he's afraid that some other cat is angry at her. He'd die to protect even the tiniest kit in any Clan, if it meant that no cat had to die.

kit moons
The moons of Blizzardkit's kit-hood were not the greatest. Born the smallest of the litter to the two warriors of WindClan, Freezeheart and Mistfang, it was as if StarClan hadn't punished them enough. Out of their three kits, only one survived, and not only was he tinier than the other kittens that had been born, but he was also born blind. Like most other white cats with blue eyes, he was born without his sight. But unlike them, he had his hearing. The medicine cat told his parents that it was unlikely for the young kit to survive even the night.
That's where he started to amaze his parents. He survived the night, in the dead of winter. He also survived the next night, and the night after that. At that time, they didn't even know he was blind, and they hadn't even named him. By the time he had liven an entire moon, his parents finally broke down and named him Blizzardkit. Not only for his snowy-white fur, but also for surviving the dead of leaf-bare. He was the apple of his parent's eyes, and was always watched closely, and played with sweetly.
When he was four moons old, his parents first found out that he was blind. His mother had told him to come outside of the den, and see the new leaves budding on the bushes, and the grass that was growing taller by the day. Blizzardkit said that is all looked shaky and different. There was no color to it, it was just all black with white outlines, where vibrations were moving through the objects. This startled his mother, and she instantly took him to the Medicine Cat. After the Medicine Cat observed his eyes, he told Freezeheart that Blizzardkit was blind.
He asked why Blizzardkit hadn't said anything about it before, and his response was along the lines of "I thought you all see like that!" The Medicine Cat carefully explained that normal cats could see everything, and what color things were. He then told his mother that Blizzardkit could never be a warrior, and would never be a warrior. This angered the young kit, and he went spouting about that he got around just like all the other kits. He explained that he didn't have a problem moving about his surroundings.
His mother told him to stop talking like that, and ushered him back to the nursery. They didn't talk about it again until he was 6 moons old, and the age to become an apprentice. And the leader had made his choice. He'd watched the young kit, knowing full well that he was blind. He'd seen such a fire in the tom's blind, blue eyes. He knew what Blizzardkit wanted, and decided that he should let the young tom try.
apprentice moons
The leader of WindClan gave Blizzardkit the name of Blizzardpaw, and appointed Blizzardpaw's father as his apprentice. He wanted the older warrior to see what his own son could do, even without his sight. He wanted to show him that even cat's such as Blizzardpaw could surpass everyone's expectations. He honestly hoped that he was right in making a Blizzardpaw an apprentice, and was soon proved to be correct about it all.
Over the first few moons of his apprentice training, Blizzardpaw proved to be not only a great hunter, but also a great fighter. He always tried not to let his blindness keep him from fighting as hard as he could during battle training. The blindness almost gave him a slight advantage, as he was able to tell when another apprentice was coming toward him. His reactions were quick and fluid, just as a normal warriors reflexes were.
In the end though, his hunting skills were far superior to his fighting skills. Granted he was a great and skilled fighter, but he was an even better hunter. Able to stay completely silent, and rarely ever spooking his prey, he rarely missed a catch. He was able to track the rabbits on the moors without really startling them until he had them in his jaws. The trick to it was knowing where the prey was at all times, and being able to scent which way the wind was turning, and being able to move carefully upwind from the prey, as to not scare the catch.
Blizzardpaw really proved himself as a true warrior when another Clan attacked. He scented the group of cats heading toward the border, a group far to big to be hunting or patrolling. He instantly headed back toward the camp, and alerted the Leader and Deputy. He was put in one of the battle patrols, and they headed onto the moors, meeting the other Clan before it reached their camp.
Blizzardpaw fought tooth and nail for his Clan, and even forgot that he was blind. He fought like he could see everything going on around him, just like every other warrior in his Clan. He was able to send a couple of grown warriors back to their own side of the border. He then went back to help fend off the other enemy warriors. When the battle was over, and clad with a few battle scars to call his own, and be proud of, he trotted back to the camp proudly. The leader of WindClan was incredibly proud of the apprentice, as was his father and mother. He'd even surpassed every cats expectations once more.
That same night, he was appointed a full warrior of WindClan, and given the name of Blizzardsight. Sight for the miraculous abilities he had, and his strength to continue on, even without his sight. Blizzardsight was a proud warrior now, and he would never let any cat take that feeling away from him.
warrior moons
As a warrior, he completed many duties, and always did them to the best of his ability. He hunted often, and continued to train himself to fight even while being blind. He even eventually obtained an apprentice! This was one of the greatest moments of his life, next to becoming a warrior. He proved to be an effective Mentor to his apprentice, Pepperedpaw.
He looked at Pepperedpaw like his own son, as Pepperedpaw's parents had both died of sickness during a green-leaf epidemic of green-cough. He was very fond of his little apprentice, and often spent a lot of time with the young apprentice. He grew prouder and prouder as Pepperedpaw grew up and advanced more in his skills. It wasn't long before his apprentice was named Pepperedflight. He felt closer than ever to his friend now, and was often paired into patrols with the young warrior!
It wasn't long before he fell in love with his mate, Heronflight. They've been together quite a while by now, and the relationship has been everything to Blizzardstar. The worst part was when the Medicine Cat told them that Heronflight was barren. They were pretty upset for a while, but decided that being together was better than nothing at all.
After many more moons of Warrior-ship, Blizzardsight was appointed the new deputy. Pride set into his soul as his name was called, and he could barely believe it. A blind cat being made the deputy of the Clan. It made him purr with enthusiasm at first. To him, the job was long and hard, but he enjoyed every moment of it. He wasn't the deputy for too long, because the previous leader lost his last life very recently. He is just now taking his place as the leader of WindClan.
