Bonestar has always been a very caustic, hostile cat. There was no beginning to this attitude, except perhaps the day she was born. Her bitter personality has neither won her any fans nor any friends. The truth is, she would be happy as a loner if it was not for her dark ambition to become a clan leader.
It's not enough to say she's vain. She hates the world and everything in it, and the world seems to hate her right back. This probably led to her dark ambition. Bonestar wants to prove to the world that she is better than it. It seems that anyone who crosses this black cat is going to get very unlucky very quickly. She will not tolerate anyone getting in her way. Maybe that's why she's always the first cat to unsheathe her claws.
Her vile persona is the very reason why she is a mogul on the battlefield, using her brains and strength to full capacity.
Bonestar is very strategic as well. She believes that any battle can be won, even if that means that seemingly impossible actions have to be taken. Part of being a leader is creating battle tactics. She has trained her mind to see threats. Any cat that gets to powerful will be her first target. Her inner motto has always been: "Silence the threat first- ask questions later!"
Of course, there is always the nature of her bloodthirsty side. The thrill of the fray is alluring and rather irresistible for her. This isn't to say that she makes rash decisions though. She sees peace as a victory in itself; however, when in the heat of a battle, it overtakes her mind. Everything in her focuses on winning, planning, dodging, and slashing. It is for this that she yearns.

Her mother Spiritdance named her Bonekit. From the moment she heard and understand her name when she was 3 moons old she hated it with a burning passion. She always said that she would change it, if only to defy her mother. She was rebellious, even as a kit. She was always talking back and sneaking out at night to explore the plains. Her father, Russetpelt, was the one she always looked up to. He controlled her mother like nothing else. She would do whatever he said and Bonekit admired that in him. She told herself that she would grow up to be just like him. Of course, Russetpelt didn't stay around long. He left when the kits were five moons old, and never came back. With no one to look up to for nearly a moon, the young kit was even worse until she became an apprentice.
See, her relationship with her siblings was never very good. She was quite the black sheep, the outcast, the loner of the family. Gingerkit was shy and never really talked. Most thought he was a mute, but Bonekit knew better. She heard the way he mumbled in his sleep about his girl of his, Sweetkit. She was utterly disgusted by the two. They were always so... mushy. Eaglekit was smooth-talking, sweet voiced she-cat. She was always bouncing around being happy. It looked like nothing would ever take her down. So, naturally, Bonekit looked to the other litters. Except there was only one other litter at the time. That was Sweetkit and her brother who was thought to be deaf.
She was an outcast. Until she met Badgernose, her mentor. Becoming 6 moons, her and her siblings were now Eaglepaw, Gingerpaw, and Bonepaw. Badgernose was heartless, merciless, and all together horrible. She admired his ways, though he hated her at first. She had to grow on him, show him she had a desire to be the same way as him, until he really began their training. He thought her how to use strategies, how to be three moves ahead of her opponent. He taught her how to use words to cut through another. He taught her everything she knows about fighting, everything she knows at all. He picked up where Russetpelt left off, twisting her mind to think evil, of blood, think of lust. It was then that her true blood lust began; it was then that her true anger and hatred filled her heart. It emptied her of any other emotion. It was all she ever felt.
Well it was about when they were nine moons old that Gingerpaw and Spiritdance got greencough. It slowly turned to whitecough and killed them both. Eaglepaw was sad, but it made Bonepaw's heart flutter to see dead bodies. She couldn't help but to think of what would've happened is she killed them herself. Of course, over her lifetime she wouldn't doubt that she would get to feel the rush of blood beneath her paws, the fur in her claws, the flesh in her teeth. She had no reason to doubt. Her lust for blood was too much to handle.
Her first taste of a real, full blown fight was at the end of her apprenticeship. As she was about to become a warrior, Badgernose wanted to make sure she was ready to become one. He took her away from camp at the crack of dawn, and told her to fight him. She was easily overpowered, but he was easily out ran. She was nimble and quick, while he had brute force. Balancing each other, it was hard to defeat another. In the end, strength won this time. He pinned her down on the ground, teeth at her neck. She spit at him as she hissed the words "Kill me. Do it! Just remember that everyone saw you take me out here. My blood will be on your paws and I don't think that Fadingblack would like that too much. His favorite apprentice found dead at the paws of her mentor. Oh no... I don't think that's anyway to become deputy." She didn't expect her words to work, even if she did play on his weakness. His thirst to rule was apparently more important than her, and he slowly backed away. She got to her paws and left him looking appalled.
Eaglepaw became Eagledance and Bonepaw became Boneflash. By now she had grown on her name, for Badgernose had always said it was a good, strong name. Her sister wanted to be her friend, to reconnect the last two family members, but Boneflash would push her away at all times. She wanted nothing to do with Eagledance. But they still fought and head-butted, the one always trying to out do the other. If Boneflash brought back a rabbit, Eagledance would hunt until she got two to bring back. It was an endless competition, and it wasn't friendly.
Well it took the next step up when they were both assigned to the dawn patrol together. With them were two lovers who asked to be excused early. Eagledance said yes before Boneflash could say no. They went a little further along the border before a fight broke out. Harsh words were exchanged and claws became unsheathed. Yowls broke out and the fighting began.
Eagledance was a good fighter for someone who didn't like to fight. She struck first, hitting Boneflash's cheek with her paw. Well that signaled an all out battle. They began to fight and Boneflash soon realized that they were evenly matched. They were both quick and had at least some strength. There was one difference that she could play upon, though. Boneflash was paitent and clever, while Eagledance struck blindly in places where she thought she could do the most damage. patiently waiting for her sister to attack first, she slid underneath her, paws in the air. A fresh cut opened on her sister's stomach, fairly deep. Eageldance collapsed on the ground, bleeding to death. Unfortunately, Boneflash couldn't stay long. She had to run back to camp and tell everyone that a rogue had attacked them.
Everyone believed her story, except for one cat. Badgernose. He saw the look in her eyes, the excitement in her step. All the signs of her blood lust finally getting filled. Now alone, Badgernose worked his way into Boneflash's life. They would take walks together at night and talk about battles and strategic ways. They would talk about life and death, but mostly death. They would talk about the sweet taste of blood, the bitterness of flesh. This was her night life as a warrior. During the day she would stay away from Badgernose and closer to Fadingblack, seeing as she wanted desperately to become leader. She would rule Windclan, leading them to greatness. She would tear apart the clans one by one until all came underneath her claws. The leader of old was... well, getting old on his life. This, of course, meant everyone who knew something wanted to be next to Fadingblack, who was next in line to be leader. Boneflash kept her distance, though, doing simple things that would put her on the "good" chart.
Well the leader died and left Fadingblack to become Fadingstar. He thought all night long about who should be deputy. His first thought was of Badgernose, but he decided it would be better to let Boneflash, who he was extremely familiar with, be deputy. It was announced and Nighthunter knew that she was in to be leader. All she had to do, at 25 moons, was wait for Fadingstar to die off and let her rule Windclan. With her sister in her grave and Badgernose's mouth sealed, she was safe against anything bad being said against her. She was safe. For now.
Fadingstar was young though, and her paintentce was wearing thin. She decided to take matters into her own paws. On her nightly walk with Badgernose, she told him that she would tell Fadingstar to come with her, for something important was happening. She would lead him to Badgernose, where Badgernose would kill him. They would bring his body back and she would make him deputy. He agreed, but only because he loved her. The feeling wasn't mutual. She had no desire for any mate at any time, but she didn't tell him that. She told him that she loved him too, only so she could get her way.
So the next day came and she led Fadingstar out to Badgernose. As they were fighting, she snuck away and told the whole camp that Badgernose was trying to kill Fadingstar. When they got back, Fadingstar's head was bashed in and Badgernose had blood all over him. The three warriors that had come with her were angry, but asked her what they should do. Taking him prisioner, he was so confused by her actions. This was not part of the plan. The words "Plans change." were whispered into his ear. She smiled as he was taken prisioner. During the night she took him out and told him to hide in the twoleg place forever and never to come back. When she needed him, she would send for him.
The next morning she went to the moonstone, seeing if her nine lives would even be given to her. Surprisingly they were, and she requested that her name be changed to Frigidstar. No one knows anything for sure, but they suspect that Bonestar had something to do with Fadingstar's and Eagledance's deaths. But no proof can be found. No proof will ever be found against her.
